The SMC server uses a number of plugins to enhance the vanilla Minecraft experience:

MCMMO introduces two main features to Minecraft: RPG skills and a party system

Most actions will contribute experience to a specific skill. For example, harvesting plants will earn you Herbalism xp, and cutting down trees will earn you Woodcutting xp. As you level up, you will unlock special abilities related to those skills.

You can form an MMO-style party with the command /party CREATE <name> [password]. Members of the same party get access to a private party chat, which can be toggled with /party. Parties can be configured to share items and skill experience with /party ITEMSHARE and /party XPSHARE. Join a party with /party JOIN <player> [password] or invite players with /party INVITE <player>.

The SMC server keeps a dynamic map of Gnomad using the DynMap plugin. It can be accessed using the link in the sidebar. As players keep exploring, more of the map will be revealed.

Click the icon on the left side of the screen to toggle different layers. Click the bar on the right side of the screen to view different perspectives and a list of online players.

• Gnomad is riddled with dungeons filled with monsters and loot. If you find one, make sure you come prepared.
• Use the warp signs found in the Spawn Cottage to warp yourself far across the map.
• Secure chests and doors without claiming a residence by placing a sign on it.
• Sort your chests and inventory by pressing the middle mouse wheel.
• When a tool in your hotbar breaks, it will automatically be replaced with a spare tool from your inventory.
• Only one player on the server needs to sleep to pass the night
